What should be the steps to writing an Essay?
If
you struggle with starting essays just like us, the first logical step is to
create an outline for your essay. The outline will act as the guiding light for
you to complete the essay without feeling overwhelmed with ideas.
Outline
The outline of an essay is: Introduction, Body
paragraph, and followed by conclusion.
To
help you get started, create an outline for the essay. To create the outline,
you have to analyze whatever prompt you are given about the essay and answer
the questions that are asked in your assignment. The outline also depends on
the type of essay your assignment demands. There are four types of essays.
1.
Argumentative essay
An argumentative essay refers to
the outline where the essay is written to convince the reader about a
particular stance of the writer on the topic. The essay is written in the form
of a debate. The writer’s goal for writing the essay is to present a strong
argument and explain his conclusion about the topic.

Narrative essay
A
narrative essay is a piece of writing that narrates a situation to the reader.
Such essays often include creative writing and the use of creative language. A
narrative essay is the type of essay closest to story-telling. The essay
includes creating an essay that leaves an impression on the reader. Narrative
essays don't follow the traditional outline of introduction, body, and
conclusion. The narrative essay includes the narration of the situation after
the introduction. The narrative essay should end by portraying the prong of the
essay.

Descriptive/Expository essay
A
descriptive or an expository essay is the one in which the aim of the essay is
to give complete knowledge about the topic to the reader. The topic of the
essay is thoroughly explained in detail. The purpose is to neither assist the
reader to form opinions nor to give your opinion to the reader.
The
outline of an expository essay is:
Introduction:
Briefing
about the topic and theme
General
background information
Body:
Details
about the topic for further understanding
Conclusion:
Summary
of all the details presented about the topic.

Reflective essay
In
a reflective essay, the writer examines someone’s work or explains his own
experience about a situation. A reflective essay can be as simple as a journey
to becoming an academic writer. The essay describes his or her experience or a
reflection on someone’s work. The outline of a reflective essay is:
Introduction:
The
writer explains the main topic of what the reflection is going to be about.
Body:
The
writer explains how their experience has affected their life or alternatively
what is the significance of the work.
Conclusion:
The
writer concludes their experience and how it has turned out to be. Or, they
summarize their thoughts on the topic.
Conclusion
Making an essay means creating an
impact, whether it is descriptive, reflective, Narrative, or argumentative. The
outline of an essay is the first step to writing a successful essay.
Understanding or describing the outline of the essay beforehand can make
writing the essay very easy and quick.
