Writing essays is an essential part of a student's life. It is easy to get overwhelmed seeing the word limit sometimes, but with a brief outline of how an essay looks, helps in the longer run. It helps to make the whole essay writing process go smoothly, and the student does not stress out too much either. It is easy to write a thousand words if one knows what to write about. It becomes essential to divide the essay into different sections so that it will be easier to explain each section adequately without straying away from the article's main argument.  

 

A topic is not always given, which then raises the next question- What topic should one choose?  

 

Choosing a topic can prove difficult if one does not have an idea about their likes and interests. It is recommended to select a topic that one has an interest in. The whole research and writing process becomes fun for the student if they pick something they already like, or have a keen interest in.  

 

Forming a general outline of the essay becomes essential. Division of the article in small sections is necessary so that all the essential information can be listed down in each area. It is essential to structure the essay, so it becomes convenient for the student to continue with the writing process smoothly. That way, the student also knows what to write about without beating around the bush or providing statements that don't support the topic.  

 

The essay structure mostly comprises of an introduction, body, and conclusion part. It should be kept in mind while writing any 1000-word essay, that the introduction should be gripping enough for the readers to form an interest in the topic. The body should consist of all the critical arguments and research from credible sources to support the topic that the student has picked. The conclusion part does not give any insight on anything new in the topic, but talks about the entire essay and research process in a gist. This document will present the requirements for the eLearning and Student Records Management solution for ABC University.  

The university has over 1000 students in various disciplines, courses and programs, supported by over 300 staff including Professors, Administration, Management, and other personnel. This solution in point is being built with the purpose of serving as a one stop shop for all students’ academic needs and providing the university management a system to keep track of and manage the student records. Another objective is to improve the university management productivity through automation and make it easier to effectively utilize the resources. 

This should be an intuitive, easy to operate system using which the students can enroll in courses, update their details, request for marksheets, access e-Learning content, the professors can keep track of students’ progress and the management can maintain student records effectively.  

2. Functional Requirements 

The functional requirements for the e-Learning and Student Records Management system are as follows:
