Instruction

 

 

 

The assignment is to write an academic essay, as such it should draw on established and recent literature on these matters.  Wikipedia and other such websites should not be used as references.  In other words, reference material should be academically sound, and not merely convenient.

 

The essay should be typed, 1,000 words, and be referenced in the Harvard style as outlined in the Institute of Technology, Carlow guide to referencing ‘Credit Where Credit is due’.  A reference list should be provided. Students should familiarise themselves with the concept of plagiarism and ensure that they don’t unwittingly commit this offence. Please refer to the Essay Grading Guide on Blackboard for further guidance on essay writing. (see under assignments). 

 

The essay must be submitted through Turn-it-in via Blackboard, by midnight on the dead-line date.

 

Late submissions, after the deadline date, will attract a penalty of 20% of the grade awarded, per working day, and no submissions will be accepted after one week.
